Manual Type Breakout Equipment

The DTH hammer is an impact drilling tool that is directly contact with the hard rock during drilling, the internal parts of the hammer need to be maintained, a breakout equipment should be used for disassembling the hammer and maintain the internal parts.

The threaded connections of the driver chuck and top sub may become very tightly tensioned during drilling. It is convenient to break the hammer threads on the rig, but if the threads cannot be loosened or tend to get stuck, a DTH Hammer disassembling equipment is the solution.

This handy but powerful DTH Hammer disassembling equipment can easily be placed in a workshop or container and it breaks DTH hammers between 3-8".

Breakout Bench Operation Instruction

1. Put hammer on the bench.

2. Adjust the position of hammer and wrench, use wrench to block the top sub side of the hammer, let wrench and jack in the same face.

3. Fix K-shaped base with nut.

4. Fix wrench with nuts.

5. Shake handle of Jack slowly till top sub away from hammer.

6. After top sub dismantled, grease the jack, release nuts, discharge the K-shaped base and turn around the hammer.

7. Adjust the position of the hammer and wrench, use wrench to block the drive chuck of hammer, let wrench and jack in the same face.

8. Fix hammer.

9. Fix K-shaped base and the wrench with nut.

10. Shake handle of Jack slowly till drive chuck away from hammer.
